So I released a book this year. I guess most of you already know about this, not that many of you have picked up a copy yet, but hey, don’t worry. You’ve probably got hundreds of other things you need to waste your money on so don’t feel bad about it! I mean it. Really!! *smile*
I am however looking into getting the book out to a wider audience by turning it into a so called ”podcast novel” through a terrific service at http://podiobooks.com. But in order to do this I need to record it, as spoken words. I could of course do this myself, but I am self-aware enough to know that my english can’t compete with a native american. And I am very sure that my impression of a spanish accent for example, would be nothing but embarrassing.
So I am reaching out now, trying to find someone who would be interested in narrating Static.
Anyone who cares to extend their services to me should send me an email and attach a short sample of their voice and reading skills (in mp3-format), and let me know what kind of money you would want out of this. The book contains roughly 90 000 words if that is of any relevance to you. The narrating should include not only the actual reading but also recording (duh!) and editing, so that I can just add my own introduction to each episode, giving credit to those who deserve it and so on.
So if you are in to reading out loud; fire off an email to me and let me know what you can do for me.

I just launched a ”massive” ad campaign on Facebook targeting towards a male north american demographic between the ages of 18 and 30 who enjoy reading.
As it turned out that was a target group consisting of more than 350 000 people according to Facebook Ads. So as far as demographics go the campaign is massive. When it comes to the financial aspect though, it might not be quite as massive, but hopefully my minor budget will still bring a few new readers!
I look forward to getting the ad out there and I hope that some of you get to see it.
But unless you are buying a copy, don’t feed the urge to click on the banner since it will cost me a dollar every time someone does.

Yesterday I decided to post an audio-message on my old podcast feed over at polarbearpodcast.com, in an effort to reach a larger english speaking audience.
Though the show has been ”off the air” since the spring of 2008 I still have over 3.000 listeners every month going through the back catalog. I thought it would be interesting to let them all know about the book and hopefully some of them – some of you – will find the way here and get a personal copy of the book.

I am very pleased to bring you the news that the very first copy of STATIC was sold today on lulu.com, to a reader somwhere out there in the world.
It feels very strange knowing that someone just paid their hard earned money to buy a book I’ve written. I know it’s the whole point with all this, but it still leaves me with a sense of awe. It’s very humbling.
I hope, whoever you are, that you will be pleased with the purchase.
The final proof copy of STATIC arrived in the mail today. It looks good. It looks really good.
Hoping to get it over to my buddy who has promised to read it and give me some constructive critisism. Hopefully he won’t ask me to change the entire book, but perhaps just a few minor details. Otherwise I am set back a few months, having to re-write a character or situation, which is something I really don’t feel like right now.
The next step is making any necessary changes and then firing off the third – and final – revision to lulu.com and publit.se and letting it hit the stores by the end of june.
I just can’t wait!
I am reaching out trying to find an artist who is specialized in drawing cars, specifically Ford Mustangs.
As a part of the upcoming book STATIC, I would like to present the work of an artist, on the first inprint page of the book. I think it would be a great feature and it would be nice to give an artist some well deserved publicity.
If you are an artist, and you like drawing cars in action situation, please send me an email and I will let you in on the details and also tell you what I offer in return, which basically is publicity within the realms of the books publication.
